Learn to row camp is designed for athletes entering grades 7-12. Athletes are given the opportunity to learn to row, develop their skills and improve their fitness. No experience is necessary!

During camp participants will have the opportunity to learn the rowing stroke, learn how to handle equipment and get on the water in shells to take strokes, develop skills and gain fitness. Athletes will also have the opportunity to gain physical stamina through on land conditioning and other rowing related training.

Athletes should bring a water bottle, running shoes, hat / sunglasses and sandals for walking on the beach.

**All athletes will need to complete Port Rowing‘s swim test before the first day of camp.

Come get on the water with Port Rowing. This program is designed specifically for those who have never rowed before and no experience is required. Learn the basics of the sport, how to handle equipment and get out rowing on the water!

Practices will run Tuesday and Thursday evenings, July 2- July 30, from 6-7:30pm. ** Note there will be no practice on July 4, but there will be an additional practice on July 30.

Spring rowing will begin on May 20- June 28 at the Port Rowing Boathouse. Practices will be on Monday and Wednesday and run from 6-7:30pm. Note there will be no practices on June 17 or 19th.
